15 April 2023

The idea of this one is that we’re all going to be growing a lot of food this Spring, aren’t we? Shall start that journey together?

We will provide what you need and share ways we grow to ensure good success rates.

This course is for anyone interested, no experience necessary. It should also be of use if you need a confidence boost or refresher, or if perhaps you’re trying to garden more ecologically.

Book your place

The price of booking includes:

  • Our time and experience

  • Seeds from our collection, some saved from our gardens. Also seeds from the Belper permaculture network seed library

  • We’ll boil the kettle a few times and there should be biscuits at least. Please bring vegan food items to share for lunch.

The course is led by Earthed Up! member Ryan Sandford-Blackburn, an experienced gardener and educator. Ryan has helped grow 3 of our gardens and many others of his own in recent years. He is leading on growing our plants this year.

Please email us to book and we’ll send our BACS details – your place is confirmed when payment is received.

There’s just space for 8 people on this course, as our garden isn’t very big.

Note, cars can be parked on the road, uphill from our garden please. We have space to lock up bicycles.

We will be outside in a garden all day. There is some shelter for eating but it’s not indoors. Please dress accordingly.

The venue is not easily accessible to those in a wheelchair or with mobility issues – there are 3 steps down into the garden and some of the paths in the garden are uneven.

0-1 year olds are welcome, accompanying their parent or guardian.
