Sammuel Yisrael, co-founder of Sol Haven, will be sharing his passion and expertise at the upcoming Midlands Permaculture Festival. This is more than just a talk—it’s an opportunity to experience the transformative power of community, rhythm, and sustainable living.
Kick Off with Drumming and Voice Connection
Sammuel Yisrael will set the tone for the festival with a dynamic drumming session that invites everyone to participate. Drumming isn’t just about creating a beat; it’s about syncing with the collective energy of the group and tapping into a deeper sense of connection. By using our voices alongside the rhythm, Sammuel will guide us in finding our unique contribution to the community’s harmony—a perfect metaphor for what Sol Haven stands for.
Discover the Sol Haven Story: A Blueprint for Sustainable Living and Community Care

After the drumming session, Sammuel will delve into the inspiring story of Sol Haven, a Community Interest Company (CIC) that he co-founded with a vision to create sustainable permaculture care hubs across the UK. Sol Haven started in January 2018, born from the founders’ shared passion for sustainable agriculture and their personal experiences with homelessness. Their journey began with regenerating disused farm buildings and gardens, transforming them into a vibrant social space that now hosts a variety of community-strengthening events.
Sol Haven’s mission goes beyond sustainability; it’s about providing a practical environment where people with immediate needs can find support, community, and a pathway to a better future. The project serves as a showcase for rural arts and crafts, offers a sustainable local food source, and most importantly, encapsulates a genuine chance to change lives.
