If you know anything about Earthed Up!, then you know we grow amazing plants, provide excellent garden services and regularly host courses about permaculture, agroecology, composting and more. But did you also know that we’re a workers co-op?

What does that actually mean in practice? Does it involve strange rituals and secret handshakes? We’re glad you asked because Co-operatives UK has just released a video that explains exactly what it means to be a co-op, and how being one means we’re part of a wider movement that’s trying to make a fairer world. You can check out the video below.

Pretty cool, right? If you’d like to learn more about Co-operatives UK and the co-ops that are featured in the video, you can do that by clicking right here. You can find out more about Earthed Up!, and why we decided to become a co-op by reading our story here.

And don’t forget, if you’d like some democratic garden work doing, you’re on the look-out for ethical compost, or you’d like to talk about our values-driven approach (or PLANTS), we’re always happy to hear from you.
