We use the composts ourselves in the nursery and in our home gardens.

Dalefoot organic wool compost for vegetable and salads and for tomatoes (also good for aubergines, cucumbers, hungry veg). The sheep’s wool gives natural water retention and also provides a slow release of nitrogen. The high level of potash in the bracken promotes flowering and fruiting. Plus it contains natural micro-nutrients for growing healthy and delicious produce. 30 litre bags, £10 each.
Dalefoot organic wool compost double strength. Fertiliser strength, peat-free compost and soil conditioner. A strong, rich compost made from bracken and sheep’s wool. Now with added Comfrey! Can be used throughout the garden to grow flowers, fruit, vegetables and trees when mixed. 30 litre bags, £12 each.
Simply email us to order your compost. Collect from our small nursery at Belper Lane End. We’re not a garden centre, there’s not a big car park, you can pull up outside the garden on the quiet road and we will load your car for you and talk about gardening.
