Heat 👋🏻

Earthed Up! is a small plant nursery at Belper Lane End. Usually open Wednesday – Saturday 10am-2pm.

This isn’t usual, though. We will be closed 24 and 25 June 2026 due to extreme heat.

We continue to nurture our plants, with increased shade and double watering early and late in the day.

We also design & maintain gardens that people & wildlife adore, resilient to weather shocks and normal life.

As we ride another wave of hot weather, what are you thinking about in your garden? Maybe it’s blooming and buzzing and you’re looking forward to sitting in a shady spot and relaxing. Or having friends round for a garden party. We’ve strawberry mint that brings a little je ne sais quoi to drinks!

If you’re looking at some odd gaps in the raised beds or borders, we’ve got dill, wild rocket, and basil. We also have calendula, scabious & monardas.

And if you’ve got a blank canvas or a new bed to fill, we’ve lots more perennials and can put together a bespoke plant list for you should you wish.

We will reopen for the weekend. Saturday, we’ll also be at Crich Open Gardens and Hidden Gardens & Courtyards of Wirksworth at the Feather Star.
